Things Are Getting WILD At The Lake Superior Zoo: Monkey Around At The Twin Monkey’s Birthday Party And Sign Up To “Run Like An Animal”

There is ALWAYS "wild" fun going on at the Lake Superior Zoo! In fact, did you know you can have a sleep over there? There are summer camp programs for learning and fun! Or, you could consider having your birthday party there. Speaking of birthday parties, you're invited to the Angolan colobus monkeys Kermit and Kaya's birthday party and watch them open their presents. Plus, you can start training now for "Run Like An Animal".

I LOVE monkeys!!! Besides dogs, they are my most favorite animal! The birthday party is planned for Sunday, July 13 and the whole family is invited. Come early to enjoy ALL the animals at the zoo!

There will be cake, ice cream, fruit toppings, games, entertainment, drawings and more. Sing happy birthday to Angolan colobus monkeys Kermit and Kaya and watch them open their presents.

Also, it's time to start thinking about participating in "Run Like An Animal"! You have time to get a little training in since it isn't until August 2. This is a 5K course for both runners and walkers and your registration includes a general admission ticket to the zoo, event t-shirt, snacks, beverages, and more! Remember, this is all to support the Lake Superior Zoo!

Here's how the day will work:

Registration/Race Pack Pick-up 7:00 am – 8:00 am
Run Starts 8:30 am
Walk Starts 8:35 am
Awards and Costume Contest 9:45 am

Oh yes, there will be cash awards for the costume contest so come dressed like your favorite animal! There are also medals and a free 2015 Run Like an Animal registration that will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for both men and women runners and walkers.

All Registrants will receive:

• Our exclusive Lake Superior Zoo “Run Like an Animal” t-shirt
• Runner/Walker goodie bag
• Admission to the zoo for “Party Like an Animal”, held immediately following the race.
