The 48th Annual Kiwanis Auction is coming up this Saturday on WDIO/WIRT TV starting at 6p.  I volunteer every year to be a guest auctioneer and it's amazing to see the community support both in donations and bidders.  Businesses, organizations and even our local colleges find a way to be involved.

There is so much to bid on with the Kiwanis Auction! When you say there's something for everyone, there truly is. They on-line bidding is open now, the night of the auction you can bid online or via phone, making it easy for all.

One that caught my eye was from the College of St. Scholastica.  My daughter Kylee will be graduating from college in May so I know that many students and parents will appreciate this item up for bids.  The College of St. Scholastica is offering a four-credit undergraduate or graduate business course valued up to $4,224, if you're already a student you would get a discount.  WOW!  It can be applied to any class in their traditional undergraduate program or classes in their accelerated, evening or online undergraduate programs.   [read more].

Another item that I would love on my deck is a Primo Grill and Smoker from the Duluth Stove & Fireplace, 27th Avenue West and Michigan Street. It's a combo of a ceramic grill and smoker valued at $1,599.   It grills, smokes, roasts, or bakes.  If someone else prepares the food all you have to do is eat! [read more].

There are vacation packages, restaurant gift certificates, sports and entertainment items, a Sundance Hot Tub valued at $7,000 and more!

When you win a bid, your contribution goes to the many local programs that support kids through grant applications like the Northern Lights Foundation, Junior Achievement, High School Robotics and the Duluth Playhouse youth programs to name just a few.
