Target has announced that these twelve locations will close on February 3rd, 2018, which is the end of the 2017 fiscal year for the company:

  • Eastland-Harper Woods, Mich.
  • Hutchinson, Kan.
  • Benton Harbor, Mich.
  • Fergus Falls, Minn.
  • Hastings, Minn.
  • Macon, Ga.
  • Slidell, La.
  • Lauderhill, Fla.
  • Matteson, Ill.
  • Romeoville, Ill.
  • West Baltimore (3201 Tioga Parkway).
  • East San Antonio (7014 W. Farm to Market Road 78).

The community of Fergus Falls has taken to a change.org petition to attempt to keep the local Target open. As of the writing of this article, the petition had over 9,000 signatures. Paul Hicks, the Mayor of Hastings was quoted as saying, "It's disappointing to see the Target store closing in Hastings,".
