SWLP Rate Hike Hearing Takes Place October 16th

As we've told you before, Superior Water Light and Power has asked for a rate increase. The public service commission will be holding a public hearing on Tuesday, October 16th at WITC at 2pm.

SWLP has asked for the rate increase because of the temporary shut down of their biggest customer, Husky Refinery.  According to the Superior Telegram, the proposed increase for electric is 2.01 percent, gas is 2.31 percent, and water is 8.26 percent.

The public service commission will take public comments at the hearing. They also intend to broadcast it on their website.
