Spartan Soccer Player Peterson Scores Record 5 Goals in One Game

The Superior Spartans shut out the Two Harbors Agates on Tuesday night in a big 10-0 win. Half of those goals were scored by Superior Spartan's Maverick Peterson, which set a school record.

According to the Superior Telegram, Peterson scored all 5 goals in the first half of the game, and also had two assist.  Also scoring for the Spartans was Alex Hanson who had two goals. Cal Berti, Jakob Kidd, and Kaden Olsen also scored.

A big shout out and congratulations to Maverick Peterson who has worked tremendously hard on his soccer career. (He's my neighbor!) It's great to see the hard work payoff with a record here at Superior High School.  Good luck to the Spartans and the rest of their season, and we'll be watching!
