Bentleyville had 15,000 visitors the first Saturday it opened and it will be open through the end of December of thousands more to enjoy.  It's free to get in, but of course all the electricity, free treats and merriment doesn't come without cost and that's why the Greater Downtown Council has found a fantastic way to commemorate Bentleyville and raise some funds.

Bentleyville is now part of Small Business Saturday in downtown Duluth.  Kristi Stokkes, President of the Greater Downtown Council says the holiday spirit of giving is alive in our beautiful city and one business is giving back with crystal ornaments.

They are limited edition Bentleyville ornaments offered by a Security Jewelers with 100% of the profits supporting the Bentleyville Tour of Lights.

The sale of these special ornaments at Security Jewelers started today, Black Friday.  They will continue on Small Business Saturday and while supplies last.  You also have the opportunity to be part of history when the Greater Downtown Council will join store owners on Saturday to present framed ornaments to Mayor Don Ness and Bentleyville founder, Nathan Bentley.

“Bentleyville is such a great thing for our downtown,” said Jay Seiler, co-owner of Security Jewelers. “This is one more way that we can give back to this event and show them how much we appreciate it.”

Bentleyville entices many visitors during our winter months and that brings revenue to the Northland.  The Greater Downtown Council and area business owners recognize that.

Join in on the official commemorative ornament presentation to Mayor Ness and Nathan Bentley tomorrow, Saturday, November 29, 2014 at noon.  The presentation will be at   Security Jewelers-307 West Superior Street, downtown Duluth.
