Today is an important date for voting in Superior.  It's not just the Wisconsin Primary, but locally there is also a referendum vote for improving the Superior School District facilities.  Of course, it will be an increased property tax, and some people oppose more taxes on a year where as residents we have already had added garbage and recycling fees added from our city.  As with any voting decision, being informed is very important.  So, I urge you to read up on what the proposed referendum is about and make your decision from there.

The link above will tell you everything you need to know.  But at a glance, the major needs are repairs for leaking roofs, an out dated cooper elementary, and security features to keep unwanted people from entering classrooms.

What's it cost?  The cost per month for a $100,000 home would be $5.08 a month.  That adds up to $60.96 per year in tax increases.

So before you go vote today, please educate yourself by reading the link above.  And remember to turn the ballot over today for the referendum section.
