President Donald Trump as scheduled a visit to Duluth later this June. The trip marks the second time Trump will have been in the Twin Ports area since the start of his presidential campaign.

The scheduled visit is for Wednesday, June 20 a the DECC Arena in Duluth. According to the registration page om the Trump-Pence campaign website, doors will open at the DECC at 3:30 and the event will start at 6:30. Individuals interested in attending may register for up to two tickets through their registration page.

The visit comes as Minnesota's 8th District Congressional race is set to be a heated one. Incumbent Rick Nolan is not running for re-election, opting to join Lori Swanson as her running mate in the 2018 Minnesota Governor's race. With the wide-open race in a battle for control of Congress in the 2018 election cycle, Duluth and other places in the 8th District can definitely expect to see a lot of high-profile political figures on both sides of the political spectrum between now and November.

The last time Trump visited the Twin Ports was in April of 2016, when he held a rally at the airport in Superior.
