Luke Bryan's Southern charm will be present when he sits down in his judge's chair on American Idol. In a clip posted ahead of the reality singing competition's premiere, Bryan helps a contestant who shows up to the audition with a terribly tuned guitar.

"Come here, boy," the country star tells the young man as he begins to play. "Come here. We'll get that thing tuned."

Amazed that Bryan offered his services to the contestant, fellow coach Lionel Richie is quick to chime in, saying: "We are a full-service operation, ladies and gentleman."

Without hesitation, Bryan straps on the instrument and begins to tune it himself as Katy Perry and Richie listen in, cringe, and advise.

"That's close," the country star remarks as he hands the guitar back to its owner.

"That'll be $50,000," Perry tells the contestant, who happened to forget his wallet and is unable to pay the fee.

American Idol premieres on ABC on March 11. Days prior to the show's return, Bryan will release his most recent No. 1 album, What Makes You Country, on vinyl. The 16-track double vinyl will include an exclusive bonus song, "I Can’t Even."
