Loud ‘BOOM’ Heard In The Twin Ports Last Night

Around 10pm Friday night a very loud boom was heard in the Twin Ports.  It seems from social media posts and responses that it was felt the loudest in the Gary New Duluth area and Billings Park. Superior Mayor Jim Paine even posted on Facebook that they are looking into what it was.

I heard it in North End Superior last night, but didn't feel any earth movement like some did.  In Gary, Smithville, and some spots of Spirit Valley people mentioned that they actually felt like it was a quake of some sorts.

Speculations from military exercises, meteor passing over head, industrial explosions, and other explanations have been pondered.Around 10pm Friday night a very loud boom was heard in the Twin Ports. Superior Mayor Jim Paine even posted on Facebook that they are looking into what it was.
