If you are affected by the Lake Country Power outage, crews are working to restore service to all customers involved in more than 30 different power outages throughout its service areas.

Nearly 1,500 Lake Country Power members are without power. The outages are weather related due to the high, sustained winds that are blowing trees and limbs onto power lines. In some locations, lines have been knocked to the ground.

All Lake Country Power line crews are currently working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible. The outages are widespread throughout the cooperative's service area―primarily in the Mountain Iron and Grand Rapids service areas. Outages are also being reported in the Kettle River service area.

LCP is working with several emergency 911 crews at various sites as grass fires are being reported as well.

The wind is expected to blow with heavy gusts through the night, which may slow the restoration process and cause additional outages. Lake Country Power's line crews will continue working.

Members may call the cooperative at 1-800-421-9959 for more information. Visit the Outage Center online at www.lakecountrypower.coop for a real-time outage status.
