Team Shuster of Duluth and Team Sinclair Of South Carolina are going to the World Championships after wins in Kalamazoo MI.

Team Shuster, won a historic gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, continued his winning ways by taking the National Championship with an 8-4 victory over two-time national champ Rich Ruohonen’s rink.

This makes the 8th World Championship for John Shuster and for the last 5 years John Shuster has reached the Olympic Games or the World Championships. This version of Team Shuster includes the 2018 Olympians Matt Hamilton and John Landsteiner, and 2010 Olympian Chris Plys. The men’s world championship will be March 30 in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Jamie Sinclair was the 2018 champion too and this makes 3 in a row for her. She is a dual citizen and curls out of South Carolina. Sinclair’s teammates are Monica Walker, and twin sisters Sarah and Taylor Anderson, who all have a laundry list of accomplishments singly. The women’s world championships are in Silkeborg, Denmark, on March 16
