Something the Upper Midwest region of the US is known for is hot dish.  Types of hot dish vary from family to family with different tastes.  I do enjoy a good hot dish but it's one of those meals I always tend to overeat at.  With winter fast approaching, I thought I'd share one of my favorite make me feel fat, happy, and warm foods.

This is Betty's recipe, not Betty Crocker, Betty Danger's.  It's simple and you can tweak the seasoning to please your taste buds if wanted.

Betty's Tator Tot Hotdish:

2lbs Ground Beef

2 Cans Cream of Mushroom Soup

1 Can Whole Corn

Cheese of your Preference

1 Bag of Tots

Brown meat and season to your liking, we like spicy so we add Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning.  Otherwise just garlic salt and pepper work well.  Once meat is browned, layer it in the bottom of a casserole dish, add the soup, add a cheese layer(Muenster cheese slices make it extra delicious), corn, and then add the tots on stop.  You can also add seasoning to the tots for extra kick.  Then bake at whatever your bag of tots directs you to cook them until golden brown.  Add shredded cheese to the top to melt just before the tots are done.  Cool a smidge and serve warm/hot.
