Huskies Kick-Off 2015 Season With A Win And Fireworks

One of the nicest days so far this year just so happen to fall on the Huskies 2015 season opener and the fans came out in droves to watch the Huskies kick-off the season with a win and celebrate with fireworks.  We live fairly close to Wade Stadium so we knew Wade was packed by how far away from the complex the cars were parked.  3, 491 fans were treated to pre-game music from Big Wave Dave and the Ripples and a win over Willmar, 1-0 after a scoreless eight and a half innings.  Then a bit after 9p the fireworks started and we knew the 2015 season was off and running.  According to wdio.com the Huskie play in Eau Claire tonight before returning to the Wade for a Saturday game.

• Sat, 5/30 6:35pm – Backpack Giveaway presented by Duluth Huskies. Kids 14-U will receive a Harley D Huskie Backpack, while supplies last.
• Sun, 5/31 5:05pm – Magnet Schedule Giveaway presented by Renewal by Andersen. It’s also Sunday Family Fun Day – $50 for 4 Bleacher GA, 4 Hot Dogs, 4 Sm Sodas, and 2 popcorn.
• Mon 6/1 6:35pm – UMD Marketing Program Night, presented by UMD Sports Marketing.
• Tue 6/2 11:35am – Education Day – Kids from the regions Elementary Schools are in attendance.
• Fri 6/5 6:35pm – Harley D Huskie Bank Head Giveaway – Kids 14-U will receive a Harley D Huskie Bank Head, while supplies last.
