An auction took place for ownership of the historic Endion Train Depot, in Duluth's Canal Park, and local businessmen Rod Raymond and Tim Nelson had the winning bid.

According to our partners at Northland's NewsCenter, the winning bid was $300,000.  That is $100,000 more than the starting price but still less than market value. They report that Raymond has a plan for the property. "Visualize this," said Raymond. "It's July 15th. You come. You meet a group, go for a run/walk, maybe yoga on the grass. You come back and have baked goods, perhaps, a smoothie and a cup of coffee. Take off come back later that night. Music out there, people are sucking down a craft ale and watching the moon."

Before ownership becomes official, they must present their plans to the City Council for approval.
