I've been busy trying to keep you in the know on the construction projects going on the Northland.  Whew, sometimes it's hard to keep up.  Next week a section of Highway 53 will be impacted, here are the details to help plan your route.

You're getting an early heads up from the Minnesota Department of Transportation on a closure, here's what the plans are.  Starting on Monday, July 20 Highway 53 is expected to be down to a single lane and will be closed to allow crews to do highway resurfacing bypass, turn and passing lane work.  It's hard to pinpoint exactly where they'll be working but they say it could be anywhere from County Road 540 to County Road 517.

Please be aware and prepared to obey the flaggers.  They say that delays shouldn't be longer than 15 minutes, but you still need to allow time for that, just in case.

The work is expected to finish by September, weather permitting.
