Work will begin on June 6th on the Highway 210 bridge over the St. Louis River on June 6th.  The project will extend the life of the bridge for about another 50 years, according to the MN Department Of Transportation.

Motorists will be detoured beginning June 6th:

Eastbound Highway 210 traffic should go north on Highway 45, east on Carlton County Road 61, south on Carlton County Road 1 and then back to Highway 210.

Westbound Highway 210 traffic should turn right on Carlton County Road 1, then continue north on Carlton County Road 1, west on County Road 61, south on Highway 45 and then back to Highway 210.

The project will work on repairing  steel and gusset plates, replacing rivets, patching concrete, and painting the bridge charcoal.  Work should be completed in October, weather permitting.

More information on this project can be found at the MN DOT website.
