Valentine's Day for your significant other is easy, candle light dinner and flowers or maybe just time alone for a change.  BUT, what do you get your kids that isn't the usual candy? (although Reese's PB Cups are acceptable any holiday).  How about family time and free skating!

Seriously, family time is hard to come by now days. If you think about it, holidays are usually when we stop down and spend a little time together.  Christmas, Thanksgiving, 4th of July picnics, so why not Valentine's Day.  Here's my suggestion for free family fun.

The City of Duluth is having a free evening Valentine's Skating Party at the Duluth Heritage Sports Center, 120 South 30th Ave West, on Wednesday, February 11, from 6:30-8:00 PM.  You will need to bring your own skates, but can expect music, heart related science displays (hey, it's a Valentine's event) and other fun activities!

Wait, there's more!!  You'll have the opportunity for outdoor skating (with a bonfire) on February 13 and 14 with free hot chocolate and music.  It will be held at the Bayfront Festival Park, Family Center (Friday from 4-8 PM and Saturday 1-8 PM).

So, even if you are planning a little cuddle time with your significant other, you can still make awesome Valentine's Day memories with the kids before it's your turn to relax.
