About a month ago I shared the Minnesota DNR's EagleCam, which not only showed eagles living in their natural habitat, but also the first eggs of the season.  Today, it was reported that we now have the first chick of 2017.

According the DNR, the egg hatched today and the second egg has a pip (scientific term for the hole the chick makes with its egg tooth on the end of its beak) that is getting larger.  That means we could have three chicks by the weekend.
