First 2018 Minnesota State Fair Concert Announcement Features Maren Morris

The 2017 Minnesota State Fair just ended earlier this month, but they've already made their first announcement about a Grandstand concert that will take place in 2018 and the show features Maren Morris.

The Minnesota State Fair has announced that Maren Morris will be the opening act for pop star Niall Horan.  Niall rose to fame as a member of the group One Direction and is currently enjoying success as a solo artist with the smash hits "This Town" and "Slow Hands".

Maren Morris is the opening act for the Niall Horan: Flicker World Tour 2018, which will expose her to a wider fan base.  It's an interesting combination of genres, but not surprising based on the crossover success we've witnessed this year with Sam Hunt and the Florida Georgia Line / Backstreet Boys combination.
