The Lake Superior Zoo has a pretty cool deal going on that I just found out about.  Every Friday through the winter you can get in for just $5.00.  The price discount even includes the various educational talks they have.

Keep this in mind for when the kids have those days off this winter as an inexpensive alternative to staying home.
