DWI Arrests On The Rise Around 4th of July, Extra Enforcement Begins Today

It's really frustrating that this day in age where we have Uber, Lyft, taxis, and mass transit that we still have drunks on the road. Around the 4th of July Holiday, DWI arrests in Minnesota surge. It's actually to the point where there are 3.9 arrests every hour in the state.

To help keep the roads safe, Minnesota has extra law enforcement on the roads looking for those driving impaired, speeding, or not wearing a seat belt. The extra enforcement starts today and runs through June 22nd.

Just be smart about it, and plan a safe ride.  Buckle up, drive the speed limit, and let's all try to be safer and smarter this weekend and the rest of the summer for that matter.
