Downtown Duluth Parking May Be a Challenge with Street Sweeping on Thursday

If you are going to work, shop or play in downtown Duluth on Thursday, you will notice several streets marked with "No Parking" signs throughout the day.

The Greater Downtown Council has announced that City of Duluth street maintenance crews will be out sweeping the parking lanes of 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd Streets this Thursday, April 9 starting at 7:00 AM and working through the day.

Crews will start on East 3^rd Street sweeping from 21^st Ave East to Mesaba Avenue. Crews will then tackle East 2^nd Street between 24^th and 12^th Ave East and finally East 1^st Street between 21^st and 12th^th Ave East.

Residents are asked to remove their cars from the streets of the project area in order for staff to complete the sweeping and to avoid getting a ticket. The City of Duluth also extends their gratitude to the public for their patience and cooperation.
