If you are going to work, shop or play in downtown Duluth on Thursday, you will notice several streets marked with "No Parking" signs throughout the day.

The Greater Downtown Council has announced that City of Duluth street maintenance crews will be out sweeping the parking lanes of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Streets this Thursday, April 9 starting at 7:00 AM and working through the day.

Crews will start on East 3rd Street sweeping from 21st Ave East to Mesaba Avenue. Crews will then tackle East 2nd Street between 24th and 12th Ave East and finally East 1st Street between 21st and 12thth Ave East.

Residents are asked to remove their cars from the streets of the project area in order for staff to complete the sweeping and to avoid getting a ticket. The City of Duluth also extends their gratitude to the public for their patience and cooperation.
