If you are an individual that works in downtown Duluth or will be in the area tomorrow, September 1, you will want to know about this road closure to alleviate travel frustration.  This will help you choose an alternative route to get to your destination much easier.

The City of Duluth asked that we pass this important information on to you.  Kraemer Construction will have a crane working at the US Bank Building in downtown Duluth tomorrow, September 1st.  The work will begin at 9a and will continue until 3:30p.

It will require the closure of Michigan St. between 2nd Ave W and 1st Ave W during that time. The detour they have planned will direct you to use 2nd Ave W up to Superior Street and back down on 1st Ave West.  1st Ave W between Michigan St. and Superior St. is now open to two way traffic, following the completion of the water and gas utility work.

If you wish to park at the US Bank parking ramp access is available from 1st Ave West then making a right turn at Michigan St.

Hopefully this advanced warning allows you to find an alternate route before you head out and you'll be right on time.
