On Monday I blogged about my upcoming dental appointment and the anxiety I was feeling.  (You can read that blog here.)  To make a long story short, it had been 8 years since I had been to the dentist.  At 1:30 today I had my appointment... (cue horror music)I arrived early to fill out the paperwork that you need to do when you are a new patient.  After an extensive questionaire I waited patiently for my appointment.  As I sat there, the anxiety continued to grow.  I was down to the final minutes.  I imagined the dentist screaming at me telling me I'm not even worth his time if I don't take my dental health care seriously.  I could see my teeth falling out of my head as soon as he started poking around.  I swear I saw a bunch of cavities in my mouth when I went to the bathroom.  I was really nervous.  It had been 8 years!  I knew I was going to have something major wrong.

They brought me back to take the x-rays.  I sat down.  They came back and said, "no cavaties, but you really need your teeth cleaned."  Apparently brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash is still no match for a professional cleaning.  So besides that, no worries.  Oh, except I need one wisdom tooth pulled out.  Now that will be another story.  My consultation is coming up for the "operation."  (Cue horror music again, more dramatic)
