It was a great way to spend a chilly Saturday night, eating delicious chili and soups from area culinary artists.  Even better, the money raised was going to the Epilepsy Foundation of MN and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

It was held at Superior Shores Resort in Two Harbors. Top Northland chefs worked their magic and put their favorite recipes and culinary skills to the test for trophies in the categories of soup and chili.  For attendees, it was very hard to make a decision and I could barely move after tasting all the scrumptious soups, chilies and bread from the North Coast company.

While all entries were appreciated, the following restaurants were awarded trophies:

CHILI CATEGORY

3rd Place:  Farley's Family Restaurant - 5 Meat Award Winning Chili

2nd Place - Bay Area Vineyard - Ce Ce's chili

1st Place - Kamloops Restaurant- Cowboy Chili

SOUP CATEGORY

The event was the brain child of Tracy Jacobsen who says it raised several hundreds of dollars for each non-profit organization and that he already has plans for a second annual Winter Warm-Up!
