Candy Cane Red Welcomes Holiday Season In Downtown Duluth [Let The Shopping Begin!]
Let's SHOP, y'all! Downtown Duluth is all festive for the 9th Annual Storefront Window Display and Lighting Contest presented by the Greater Downtown Council. 28 downtown businesses are going to transform their storefronts into holiday wonderment and you get to vote for your favorite while you shop for unique gifts (and yourself!)
You'll know exactly which stores are participating by the red curtains they'll be installing next Monday, November 17th.
The holiday transformation will begin behind those special red curtains throughout next week. You'll want to be downtown on Friday, November 21st, prior to the Christmas City of the North Parade for the fascinating unveiling!
Check out the storefront window at 209 East Superior Street next to the NorShor Theater. That window will display gifts offered by the downtown merchants that you can win simply by voting for your favorite storefront. It doesn't matter if you live, work or visit downtown Duluth, everybody is encouraged to vote for their favorite holiday window display and become eligible to win.
You are also cordially invited to the Duluth Trading Company, 300 E Superior Street on Monday, November 17th at 10a, as they hang their curtains and the kick-off to the holiday shopping in downtown Duluth begins.
Additional participants of the window display contest are: Apricot Lane, Art in the Alley, Bagley & Co., Barbo's Columbia Clothing, CSL Plasma Services, Duluth Pack, Duluth Trading Company, Electric Fetus, Fig Leaf’s Boutique, Fitger's, Frame Corner, Grandma's Saloon & Grill, the Greenery, Happy Space, Lake Superior Art Glass, Mainstream Fashions, Minnesota Power, Minnesota Surplus & Outfitters, Pizza Luce, Protein Pub, Ragstock, Security Jewelers, Siiviis (Sivertson's Gallery), Tele Resources Inc, Trailfitters, Visit Duluth and the YMCA.
Get out and vote, dine, shop and make memories with family and friends in Downtown Duluth this holiday season!
