This winter has been intense to say the least. First we saw a polar vortex and ever since, it seems we haven't caught a break from the snow.

Now, I don't want to complain about winter driving because the bottom line is that it is hard for everyone! The roads are slippery and it can be hard to see and we need to make the best of it. However, several different times this week I have been tailed while the roads were awful and now I feel like I have to get this off my chest.

I know that all of us run late in the winter because we have to get the ice and snow off our cars. We have to account for the extra time it takes to get to our destination. I get it because it happens to me too but this doesn't mean we should tail each other just because we are running late or are impatient.

A few days ago, someone was riding hot on my tail and it caused me to slide out for a few seconds. It was so scary and to be honest, doing that isn't going to get you to your destination faster. Sure, I could speed up a bit but again - that's not going to make a huge difference to your ETA.

So please, stop riding so close to other cars. Driving in the winter is annoying already. Let's not make it worse than we have to. Right?!

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
