This is something the whole family can agree on (or maybe not)! The name of the new baby Colobus Monkeys at Lake Superior Zoo. This is part of the much anticipated “Boo at the Zoo” coming up this Saturday, October 12 and next Saturday, the 19th. Guests are invited to help name the two baby Angolan colobus monkeys that were born this summer at the zoo.

For a $1 donation, guests can cast two votes. All proceeds will be sent to support Colobus monkey conservation projects in Kenya and guests are welcome to vote as many times as they like. The more times you vote the bigger the monetary support.

The team of keepers at the zoo discussed possible names and then narrowed the choices.

The choices you will be voting for the male monkey are:

•Kermit, because he jumps around like a little frog.

•Kasai, the name of a river that begins in Angola, Africa. (Pronounced kə-ˈsī )

The choices for the female monkey are:

•Kaya, the name of a city in central Africa. (Pronounced KAY-uh )

•Kissama, the name of a national park in Angola, Africa.
