The Minnesota Vikings just won a game in Philadelphia that they had to have, due in large part to a defensive score and Kirk Cousins.  Former Viking Adrian Peterson has been watching and listening.

According to NFL.com, through the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Peterson has vocalized that the Minnesota Vikings would benefit from his services right now and that they not only do they know it, they have said as much.  Peterson says:

"They've been watching and I guess saying, 'I was wrong,' with the way they viewed me," he said of the Vikings.

He also says that there are no hard feelings between him and the team and that he expects his jersey number to be retired by the Vikings some day in the future.

Personally, I agree with Adrian on both counts.  As long as Dalvin Cook is sidelined, Minnesota could use an explosive runner and Peterson has shown somewhat of a resurgence since signing with Washington.  While his skill set is similar now to that of current Vikings back Latavius Murray, another quality runner would serve the Vikings well right now for depth.

I also think everyone agrees that there will come a day that #28 will be retired by the Minnesota Vikings.  Adrian earned that honor with years a spectacular play.
