911 Outage Affecting Some CenturyLink Customers

WDIO has reported that a nationwide Centurylink outage could affect some people with land lines trying to reach 911. They are working on correcting the problem, and at this time it appears to be sporadic. Cellular phones are still working and are not affected by this outtage, so authorities urge people to use their cell phones if they need to reach 911.
