8 Parties In Duluth & Superior To Help You Ring In The New Year
New Year's Eve is a time that everyone likes to get out and celebrate!
The good news is there is no shortage of fun going on across the Northland on December 31st. In fact, there are so many amazing places to ring in the holiday that it might be hard to decide just where you want to spend your last moments of 2018.
I did a little research on parties across the area and came up with a list of 7 places you can ring in the big day across Duluth and Superior.
By the way - don't forget that the Duluth Transit Authority is offering FREE rides on the 31st beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing through the early hours of January 1st. This covers Duluth and Superior.
It is very important to make sure you have a sober ride home on New Year's so that nobody is getting behind the wheel.
Once your sober ride is squared away, you can have some fun at one of the 8 awesome parties listed below.

New Year's By The Lake
A bunch of venues are better than one! Celebrate New Year's across downtown Duluth at a party described as an "extravaganza that hasn't been seen in decades." This party takes places across four different venues with great food and of course, an amazing view of the lake. The cool thing is a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Bluebird Foundation, which gives scholarships to kids majoring in the arts. Tickets range from $25 bucks to $109 dollars.

Dubh Linn Brew Pub
It's time to get a little fancy! This semi-formal event has a ton to offer, including a three-course meal, dueling pianos and live music. You do need to make your reservations in advance and tickets are $75 bucks per person.

"Behind The Mask" Gala
What could be better than having fun and supporting a worthy cause? Nothing! Enjoy live music, appetizers, a silent auction, games, prizes and more with proceeds benefitting CASDA. Tickets range from $50 to $60 bucks and discounted rooms are available at Barkers Island Inn, the venue, with purchase of one.

New Year's Eve At The Depot
This looks awesome! Take over the Duluth Depot starting at 8 p.m. December 31st. Enjoy live music from the Lake City Smoking Section or DJ Ron, feast on food and free beer and win some free prizes. You will also get a few free treats of your own: hats, noisemakers and beads. Tickets range from $50 dollars to $80 bucks.

Party At The Pier
Head to Pier B and ring in 2019 by taking in the beautiful view and some live music! GB Leighton and Shane Martin will perform and you can feast on appetizers and champagne. The event is 21 plus so keep that in mind. Special ticket packages are available for this 21 plus event.

The Rex
Head to Fitger's on the 31st to sing along with Big Wave Dave And The Ripples. The cover charge is $7 dollars so it's the perfect place to ring in the new year if you don't want to spend a ton of cash.

Average Joe's Pub
Superior's newest bar is throwing a party all night - literally! There will be a DJ beginning at 11 and continuing through 5 a.m. Yup, you heard that right! Breakfast will be served shortly after so you can feast before you head home.

The Other Place Bar & Grill
The OP is having a New Years Eve Party, hosted by Mix 108! It's going from 9:30-1am. Everything made in MN is only $3 (Castle Danger, Hoops, etc.) There will also be a champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight.
