4th Annual Running For Our Heroes 5k To Take Place at UWS Saturday Sept. 30th

A 5k fundraiser is coming up at the end of the month at the UWS Campus.  It's called "Running For Our Heroes," and it's being organized by the UWS Veterans and Non Traditional Student Center.  Proceeds from the run will benefit Douglas County Soldiers and Sailors Relief Fund as well as the UW-Superior VNSC.

The UW-Superior VNSC was established to help non traditional students in college.  Those students consist of service men & women who are serving, or who have served.  It also expands to those students who are married/divorced, have children, or are over the age of 25.

The run will take place Saturday September 30th.  A free kids race begins at 8:45, and the 5k begins at 9am at the UWS Marcovich Wellness Center.
