This Sunday, June 17, Superior Save The Kids and the Superior African Heritage Community will host their 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration, a terrific community event.

The public is invited to Superior's Kelly Park, located at 708 Grand Avenue, from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. to enjoy free food, games, dancing and community fun centered on the family and the celebration of African American Freedom.

There will be plenty of options to keep the kids entertained including:

  • Family Games & Prizes
  • Pie Eating Contest
  • Balloon Twisting
  • Face Painting
  • Community Art Project
  • Dance Line
  • Bouncy Castle

Make sure to bring your appetite for a menu that promises:

  • Hamburgers
  • Hot Dogs
  • Roasted Corn on the Cob
  • Watermelon
  • Fresh Lemonade

Everyone is also invited to bring a side dish to share.  If you can bring a favorite dish, please let organizers know through the Juneteenth Celebration Facebook page.
